Aberdeen, S.D. – In the final series of the regular season, Northern State dropped a pair of games to Southwest Minnesota State on Friday afternoon, falling by scores of 6-0 and 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- Southwest Minnesota State scored one run in the second, one in the fourth, three in the fifth, and one in the seventh inning
- Northern State put together a pair of hits in the bottom of the third when Austin Portner singled to right field and Isaiah Chevalier singled to center field
- The Wolves were once again able to put together a pair of base runners in the bottom of the seventh inning when Kai Brisk singled to left center and Connor Knecht reached base on a walk
- Northern State was unable to score a run on six hits and committed one error defensively
- Brian Baker suffered the loss on the mound in his ninth start of the season, pitching 4.2 innings in the game

- Northern State scored their first run of the day in the bottom of the sixth inning when Spencer Sarringar reached base on a fielder's choice and scored Austin Portner
- The Mustangs pushed the lead back to four runs in the eighth inning as a double by Jaxon Haase scored Robbie Smith before Chase McDaniel was thrown out at home plate by Austin Portner to end the inning
- Northern State scored their one run on two hits and committed three errors defensively
- Seth Brewer suffered the loss on the mound in his eighth start of the season, pitching 4.0 innings and striking out four batters
