Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University softball team fell twice to Minnesota Duluth on Tuesday afternoon from Koehler Hall of Fame Field. With the losses, Northern drops to 1-7 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Minnesota Duluth jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first, notching four runs off starter Abigail Rux
- The Bulldogs added two runs in the second and one in the fourth, taking a 7-0 lead over the Wolves
- Duluth sealed the run rule victory in the top of the sixth with a solo homerun
- Rux suffered her seventh loss of the season in the game, while Shelby Novotny recorded the team's lone hit

- Liv Richardson struck first for the Wolves in game two with a solo homerun to right center in the first
- Minnesota Duluth opened the game up in the second nothing seven runs
- The Bulldogs ten added five in the third, taking a 12-1 lead
- Kamdyn Barrientos scored for NSU in the bottom of the fourth, following a leadoff walk
- UMD extended their lead in the top of the fifth, notching a solo homerun from Sidney Zavoral
- Elly Smith plated Barrientos and Eagle in the bottom of the fifth on a double to right center, cutting the UMD lead to 13-4
- Northern tallied their four runs on eight hits with two errors defensively; out-hitting the Bulldogs 8-to-6
- Meghan Anderson suffered her ninth loss of the season, giving up seven runs on two hits with four walks
