St. Paul, Minn. – The Northern State University softball team fell to Concordia-St. Paul in both games of their Sunday doubleheader. After a run-rule loss in game one, the Wolves battled back with seven runs in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern tallied one run on two hits in game one, giving up three errors defensively
- Concordia-St. Paul recorded four runs in the first, one in the second, and four in the third
- Liv Richardson recorded a homerun to left center for the Wolves in the fifth
- Meghan Anderson suffered her 14th loss of the 2022 season, giving up five earned runs (nine total) on nine hits with two strikeouts
- Her two strikeouts gave the junior the Northern State single season school record with 191 thus far in 2022

- The Wolves jumped out to a four run lead in the first, with Claire Zyblut scoring to open the game and Kamdyn Barrientos hitting a 3-run homerun to left (scoring Alexandria Arndt and Avarie Eagle)
- The Golden Bear answered with two runs in the first and one in the third
- CSP took the lead in the bottom of the fifth with three runs and added another four in the sixth
- Northern battled back with three runs in the top of the seventh, however it was not enough to tie the game or take the lead
- Scoring for NSU in the seventh was Brooke Carlson, Jessi Hernandez, and Zbylut
- The Wolves tallied their seven runs on 12 hits, giving up two errors defensively
- Abigail Rux suffered the loss for NSU, giving up nine earned runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts
