Megan Kuehl announced the additions of 23 student-athletes to their programs today. Jacob Angerhofer (Aberdeen, S.D.), Kilee Bladow (Wahpeton, N.D.), Vance Borchers (Sioux Falls, S.D.), Addison Cumbow (Pierre, S.D.), Bethany Dybdahl (Brandon, S.D.), Collin Engebretson (Platte, S.D.), Evan Halbe (Watertown, S.D.), Paden Johnson (Watertown, S.D.), Laci Leverty (Isanti, Minn.), Isaac Ligon (Aberdeen, S.D.), Josh Martin (Aberdeen, S.D.), Carter Moller (Mitchell, S.D.), Jesse Pietz (Watertown, S.D.), Eli Radtke (Luverne, Minn.), Lainey Schmidt (Mohall, N.D.), Kamryn Schwartz (Volga, S.D.), Emma Sheffield (White, S.D.), Morgan Sheldon (Mandan, N.D.), Blake Stoks (Porter, Minn.), and Taylor Thorson (Mina, S.D.) will join the Wolves in the fall of 2022.
Sean Mhende (United Kingdom), Serra Sweeney (Porters Lake, Nova Scotia), and
Sam Tremelling (Chelsmford, Essex) joined the Northern State program in January of 2022 and competed at the NSIC Indoor Championships this semester.
Sean Mhende | United Kingdom | Solihull HS | Jumps/Sprints
Sean Mhende is a 6-foot sprinter/jumper out of the United Kingdom. He holds a personal best of 13.96m in the triple jump. Mhende placed first at the 2019 YDL National Finals. He will triple jump, long jump, and sprint for the Wolves.
Sierra Sweeney | Porters Lake, Nova Scotia | Auburn Drive HS | Multi
Sierra Sweeney is a 5-foot-4 multi-athlete out of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia and Auburn Drive High School. She holds personal bests of 11.38m in the triple jump, 65.32 in the 400m hurdles, 14.97 in the 100m hurdles, and 5.09m in the long jump. Competing at the Canadian National Youth Track and Field Championships, Sweeney is a 2-time silver medalist in the triple jump and 200m hurdles, a bronze medalist in the 80m hurdles, and a gold medalist in the triple jump. She is a 15-time ANS record holder and 2-time Nova Scotia Female Athlete of the Year. She is the daughter Carol Ann and Terry Sweeney.
Sam Tremelling | Chelsmford, Essex | Great Baddow HS | Pole Vault
Sam Tremelling is a 5-foot-10 pole-vaulter out of Great Baddow High School in Chelsmford, Essex. Tremelling was crowned the South of England Champs Champion in the pole vault in 2019 and took second at English Nationals. He held a personal best of 4.40m prior to arriving at Northern State. In addition, Tremelling took second at the South of England Champs in 2021.

Jacob Angerhofer is a 6-foot-3 distance runner out of Central High School. He is a 3-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles. Angerhofer is a 2-time all-conference selection, 2021 state medalist, and academic all-state honoree.
Kilee Bladow | Wahpeton, N.D. | Wahpeton HS | Jumps
Kilee Bladow is a 5-foot-10 jumper out of Wahpeton High School. She is a 4-year letter winner for the Huskies under the direction of head coach Larry Lasch. Bladow holds a personal best of 5'1" in the high jump. She is the daughter of Tiffany Bladow.
Vance Borchers | Sioux Falls, S.D. | Roosevelt HS | Jumps
Vance Borchers is a 6-foot-2 jumper out of Roosevelt High School. He is a 2-year letter winner for the Rough Riders under the direction of head coach Jason Wagoner. Borchers holds personal bests of 6'4" in the high jump, 42'5.5" in the triple jump, and 20'5.75" in the long jump. Sioux Falls Roosevelt was the 2020 South Dakota State Meet runner-up. He is the son of Dean and Holly Borchers.
Addison Cumbow | Pierre, S.D. | T.F. Riggs HS | Hurdles
Addison Cumbow is a 5-foot-6 hurdler out of T.F. Riggs High School. She is a 4-year letter winner for the Governors under the direction of head coach Greg Starr. Cumbow holds personal bests of 15.93 in the 100m hurdles and 27.49 in the 200m. She is a 4-time state qualifier in 2021, finishing tenth in the 100m hurdles. In addition, Cumbow placed seventh in the 100m hurdles at the USTF regional meet. She is the daughter of Ryan and Kyley Cumbow.
Bethany Dybdahl | Brandon, S.D. | Brandon Valley | Pole Vault
Bethany Dybdahl is a 5-foot-9 pole-vaulter out of Brandon Valley High School. She is a 3-year letter winner for the Lynx. Dybdahl took third at the ESD Conference meet and sixth at the South Dakota State meet in 2021, jumping 9'6" and 10'. She is the daughter of Mary and Brad Dybdahl.
Collin Engebretson | Platte, S.D. | Platte Geddes HS | Sprints
Collin Engebretson is a 6-foot-1 sprinter out of Platte Geddes High School. He is a 3-year letter winner and team captain for the Black Panthers under the direction of Matt Maxon. Engebretson is a state qualifier, medaling as the anchor leg of the 4x800m and 4x100m relays. He is the son of Jeff and Rhonda Engebretson and brother of track and field alumni

Evan Halbe | Watertown, S.D. | Watertown HS | Distance
Evan Halbe is a 6-foot distance runner out of Watertown High School. He is a 6-year letter winner for the Arrows under the direction of head coach Chad Rhode. Halbe holds personal bests of 4:36.00 in the 1600m, 10:36.00 in the 3200m, and 17:04.00 in the 5000m. He is a 2021 Academic All-State recipient. He is the son of Betsy Baldry and Pat Halbe.
Paden Johnson | Watertown, S.D. | Watertown HS | Throws
Paden Johnson is a 6-foot-8 thrower out of Watertown High School. He is a 2-year letter winner for the Arrows under the direction of head coach Chad Rohde. Johnson holds personal bests of 50'1/4" in the shot put and 143'9" in the discus. He will also join the Northern State football team. He is the son of Cory and Radeanna Johnson.
Laci Leverty | Isanti, Minn. | Cambridge-Isanti HS | Pole Vault
Laci Leverty is a 5-foot-4 pole-vaulter out of Cambridge-Isanti High School. Leverty was an academic all-conference recipient in 2021 and Rookie of the Year for her high school team. She has jumped over 11' in her short pole-vaulting career. She is the daughter of Heidi and Mike Leverty.
Isaac Ligon | Aberdeen, S.D. | Central HS | Pole Vault/Hurdles
Isaac Ligon is a 5-foot-10 pole-vaulter and hurdler out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 2-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles. Ligon holds personal bests of 12' in the pole vault and 42.44 in the 300m hurdles. He was a member of the 2021 ESD Conference Championship team and state qualifier. He is the son of Tessa and Ronnie Ligon.
Josh Martin | Aberdeen, S.D. | Central HS | Distance
Josh Martin is a 6-foot-2 distance runner out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 4-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles under the direction of head coach Greg Murley. Martin is a 4-time all-conference selection and 3-time all-state pick. As a junior, Martin won the State Championship in South Dakota. Aberdeen Central won conference championships in cross country in 2018, 2019, and 2021 and in track and field in 2020. He is the son of Sandy and Donald Martin.
Carter Moller | Mitchell, S.D. | Mitchell HS | Jumps/Sprints
Carter Moller is a 6-foot-3 sprinter/jumper out of Mitchell High School. He is a 4-year letter winner for the Kernels under the direction of head coach Deb Thill. He holds personal bests of 6'2" in the high jump, 51.80 in the 400m, and 23.95 in the 200m. Moller took eighth in the high jump at the 2021 South Dakota State Meet. He is the son of Chris and Sonya Moller.

Jesse Pietz is a 5-foot-7 sprinter out of Watertown High School. He holds prep personal bests of 54.70 in the 400m, 23.70 in the 200m, and 11.84 in the 100m. Pietz was a multiple event qualifier at the 2021 South Dakota State meet, competing in the relay events. He is the son of Justin and Lehla Pietz.
Eli Radtke | Luverne, Minn. | Luverne Public | Pole Vault
Eli Radtke is a 6-foot-2 pole-vaulter out of Luverne Public Schools. He is a 4-year letter winner for the Cardinal under the direction of head coach Pete Janizeski. Radtke holds a personal best of 13'1" in the pole vault. He is a state qualifier and conference champion. In addition, Radtke was a member of the fifth place 4x200m relay for Luverne at the Minnesota State Meet. He earned academic all-state honors as well. He is the son of Blaine and Jennifer Radtke.

Lainey Schmidt is a 5-foot-10 jumper out of Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood Public Schools. She is a 3-year letter winner for the Mavericks under the direction of head coach Dana Driscoll. Schmidt holds a personal best of 4'11" in the high jump. She is the daughter of Lynn and Ardelle Schmidt.

Kamryn Schwartz is a 5-foot-4 jumper out of Sioux Valley High School. She is a 5-year letter winner for the Cossacks under the direction of head coach Don Sutera. Schwartz holds personal bests of 35'1.25" in the triple jump and 15'10" in the long jump. She is a 2-time state place winner and a member of the 4x100m relay school record at Sioux Valley. She is the daughter of Steve and Beth Schwartz and sister of current Wolves football student-athlete Tyler Schwartz.

Emma Sheffield is a 6-foot thrower out of Deubrook Area. She is a 2-year letter winner for the Dolphins under the direction of head coaches Rachelle DeBeer and Haley Scalise. Sheffield holds personal bests of 35'6" in the shot put and 104'1" in the discus. She is the daughter of Mark and Christine Sheffield.
Morgan Sheldon | Mandan, N.D. | Mandan HS | Multi
Morgan Sheldon is a 5-foot-10 multi-athlete out of Mandan High School. She is a 5-year letter winner for the Braves under the direction of head coach Gregory Brown. Sheldon holds personal bests of 15.19 in the 100m hurdles, 47.03 in the 300m hurdles, 5'1" in the high jump, 30'10" in the shot put, 84'5.75" in the javelin, 15'3" in the long jump, and 3,955 points in the heptathlon. She won the WDA Conference Championship in the 100m hurdles and high jump in 2021. In addition, Sheldon is a 4-time North Dakota State placer in the high jump, 100m hurdles, and 4x400m relay. She is the daughter of Scott and Mandy Sheldon and sister of current swim student-athlete Mayson Sheldon.
Blake Stoks | Porter, Minn. | Canby HS | Distance
Blake Stoks is a 5-foot-10 distance runner out of Canby High School. He is a 6-year letter winner for the Lancers. Stoks holds personal bests of 17:22.00 in the 5k, 10:31.00 in the 3200m and 4:46.00 in the 1600m. He is a 3-time all-conference and all-conference academic honoree in cross country. In addition, Stoks is a 2-time state qualifier and academic all-state recipient. He is the son of Adam and Kelly Stoks.
Taylor Thorson | Mina, S.D. | Ipswich HS | Distance
Taylor Thorson is a 6-foot-3 distance runner out of Ipswich High School. He is a 5-year letter winner and 3-year team captain for the Tigers under the direction of Todd Thorson, competing in both track and field and cross country. Thorson is a 3-time state cross country qualifier, medaling in 2019. In addition, he qualified for the state track and field meet in 2021. He is the son of Northern State track and field / cross country alumni Todd and Crystal Thorson.
