Chadron, Neb. – The Northern State University softball team opened their spring break road trip with a split versus Chadron State. The Wolves tallied 19 hits in the two games and saw a single season school record performance by Meghan Anderson.

• The two teams played four scoreless innings of softball, before Chadron State tallied two runs in the bottom of the fifth

• Northern State scored early and often in game two, notching two runs in the first, two in the second, one in the fourth, one in the fifth, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh
• Liv Richardson put the Wolves on the board in the first with a 2-out homerun to right, scoring Kamdyn Barrientos who reached base via walk
• Alexandria Arndt and Ashley Fauske scored in the second on a sacrifice fly by Claire Zyblut and single to center by Barrientos
• The Eagles answered back in the bottom of the second with a 2-run homerun, cutting the Wolves lead to two
• Zyblut tallied her second RBI of the contest in the top of the fourth, on a solo homerun to center
• Alexandria Arndt added the team's third homerun of the contest in the top of the fifth, a solo shot to center
• Richardson and Barrientos scored on a single by Elly Smith in the sixth, while Zyblut scored on a single by Avarie Eagle in the seventh
• In total the Wolves recorded nine runs on 12 hits, giving up two errors on defense
• Meghan Anderson threw her fifth win of the season in a school record performance; the Wolves ace notched 16 strikeouts, breaking the single season mark
