- Washburn scored first in the bottom of the first inning, when Parker Dunn singled to left field and scored Cal Watkins
- Northern State took the lead in the top of the second inning with a pair of runs; Ramon Vega Jr. scored first on a wild pitch and Niko Pezonella scored when Brandon Kusler singled to second base
- Seth Brewer pitched three scoreless innings in the second, third and sixth innings, allowing only three hits in the three innings
- The bats came to life for Ichabods starting in fourth inning, scoring one run in the fourth and fifth, two in the seventh, and five in the eighth inning
