Harrison and Clark Lead Men and Women from NSIC Championships

Wayne, Neb. – Two All-Conference performances highlighted the NSIC Cross Country Championships for the Northern State University Wolves on Saturday. The Northern State men took seventh overall with an average time of 27:05.37, while the women placed eighth with an average time of 24:52.86.  
 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Jackson Harrison recorded the highest NSIC finish of his career, breaking into the top-8 with a seventh place finish in 25:27.65
  • Josh Martin was not far behind, taking ninth overall with a time of 25:31.24
  • Both Harrison and Martin tallied first team accolades for the Wolves and Harrison was honored as the Outstanding Senior of the Year award; read more on Harrison's honor HERE
  • Jonathan Burkhalter and Evan Halbe were the third and fourth finishers for Northern State, notching times of 27:55.80 and 28:04.76 respectively
  • Jalen Chase followed with a time of 28:27.36, finishing in the top-100 of the competition field

Northern State will travel to the NCAA Central Region Championships on November 19th in Joplin, Missouri. Hosted by Missouri Southern State, the Central Region Championships slates the men's race at 10 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11:15 a.m. from the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course.
