Aberdeen, S.D. – For the second consecutive season Northern State will be playing postseason soccer, clinching a NSIC Tournament bid with a 3-0 win over MSU Moorhead on Thursday night. With the win the Wolves have now recorded nine shutout wins and 11 total shutouts this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half of was a defensive battle on both sides of the field as each team only managed to attempt one shot-on-goal, however Northern State tallied six corner kicks in the first 45 minutes
- After a scoreless first half of play, the Wolves broke the tie in the 64th minute with a penalty kick goal from Hannah Smith
- Northern State added a pair of goals to extend the lead in the closing minutes of the game, as Calista Kocmick and Megan Fastenau both scored in the 84th minute of play
- Northern held the advantage in shots (12-6), shots-on-goal (6-2), and corner kicks (8-2)
- The Northern State defense limited MSU Moorhead's scoring opportunities throughout the night as Alexus Townsend only needed to make a total of two saves in the match
- Prior to Thursday's match the Wolves honored five graduating seniors, Paige Hutton, DeAnna LeMire, Isabela Polanco Garcia, Lilja Davidsdottir, and Alexa Sutherland
