Duluth, Minn. – In the final regular season road match-up of the season, the Northern State women's soccer team fell to Minnesota Duluth 1-0. With the loss the Wolves saw their unbeaten streak of six games snapped (4-0-2) but remain in the hunt for one of the final spots in the NSIC Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• While neither team attempted a shot-on-goal during the first half of the game, Alexus Townsend needed to make one key play to keep the game scoreless as Minnesota Duluth's first shot of the game 54 seconds in ricocheted off the top cross bar and back into play to Townsend
• Northern State recorded the only corner kick attempt of the first half in the 30^th minute of play
• Northern's first shot of the game came in the 61^st minute of the game, when Paige Hutton attempted a shot-on-goal from approximately 40 yards out from the net
• The Wolves had a free kick opportunity from just a few feet outside the box in the 74th minute, however Mia Zagorski's kick was knocked away for a goal kick
• The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the 75^th minute of play with a goal from Anna Tobias who snuck the ball into the top-left corner of the net, she was assisted by Lauren Singstock and Myra Moorjani
• In the final 15 minutes of game time, NSU attempted three corner kicks and three shots (one shot-on-goal by Lyla Devereaux) while attempting to tie the game
• Duluth held the advantage in shots (14-4) and shots-on-goal (3-2), the two teams were even at five corner kick attempts apiece
