Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State women's soccer team earned a critical win in a battle of teams playing with hopes of earning a spot in the NSIC Tournament. The Wolves claimed a 1-0 win over St. Cloud State thanks a goal from Mia Zagorski and 13 saves from Alexus Townsend.

• Mia Zagorski broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the 61^st minute after corralling a short pass from Megan Fastenau who collected the assist
• Zagorski had a chance to add to the Wolves lead with a penalty kick in the 81^st minute, her shot attempt went high and the game remained 1-0
• St. Cloud State held the advantage in shots (18-10) and shots-on-goal (13-6), while Northern State held a 5-4 edge in corner kick attempts
• Alexus Townsend set a new career high with 13 saves in the match, marking the third time in her career that she has tallied double-digit saves
• Townsend made five saves in the first half and eight in the second half
