HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Northern State offensive attack had early scoring opportunities in the opening minutes of the game with a pair of corner kicks and a shot by Paige Johnson
- The lone goal of the game came in the 18th minute of play as Mia Zagorski corralled a deflected shot attempt, and fired her own shot towards the corner of the net that deflected off Isabelle Warner's hands and into the goal
- Paige Hutton helped the Northern defense keep Upper Iowa off the scoreboard in the 41st minute as she deflected a shot by Alex Garcia over the top of the goal
- The Wolves had an opportunity to add to the lead late in the game as a hand ball by the Peacocks in the 84th minute led to a Megan Fastenau penalty kick, Fastenau's shot to the bottom left corner was saved by Warner
- Northern State held an edge in shot attempts (12-7), shots-on-goal (5-4), and corner kicks (4-3)
