Sioux Falls, S.D. – In their first meet of the 2021 season the Northern State cross country teams ran to seventh (women) and 14th (men) place finishes at the Augustana Twilight.
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Megan Mooberry was the top finisher for the Northern State women, running to a 5k time of 19:16.59 in the top-35
• Jordyn Sterud came in 41^st with a time of 19:22.64, followed by Megan Pickering (19:43.08), Mary Franssen (20:06.79), Kenzie Hamann (20:13.05), Jenna Helms (20:35.34), Victoria Kolbinger (20:39.22), and Avery Murray (21:49.82)
• The Wolves finished fourth out of the NSIC teams in competition, running to an average time of 19:44.43

 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Jackson Harrison led the NSU men, landing in the top-20 with a time of 20:15.53
• Following Harrison was Nathan Alto (21:35.52), Jonathan Burkhalter (21:52.31), Chase Smith (22:24.91), John Jacklin (23:28.63), and Jacob Rohrer (24:27.22)
• Northern ran to an average time of 21:55.38

Northern State travels to Moorhead next Friday, September 10 for the Dragon Twilight. Race times are set of 7:30 p.m. for the women and 8:10 p.m. for the men.
