Moorhead, Minn. – Both the Northern State men's and women's cross country teams ran to a pair of top-3 finishes Friday night at the Dragon Twilight. The women's team placed second with a total of 71 points, and the men's team placed third with a total of 93 points.
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Megan Pickering was the highest placing runner for the Wolves, finishing ninth and running a 5000m time of 15:05.02
• Jordyn Sterud came in tenth with a time of 15:05.7, followed by Jennifer Clark (15:31.8), Kenzie Hamann (15:34.0), Megan Mooberry (15:41.3), Mary Franssen (15:44.1), Jenna Helms (15:46.7), Victoria Kolbinger (15:50.7), Avery Murray (16:27.7), and Kira Goldade (18:15.9)
• Northern finished second out of the six NSIC teams that competed with an average time of 15:23.6
• The second-place finish was the highest since the team placed second in the 2018 NSIC Preview Meet

 
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Jackson Harrison was the highest placing runner for NSU, finishing second and running a 7000m time of 18:28.30
• Nathan Alto came in 14^th with a time of 19:40.7, followed by Jonathan Burkhalter (19:57.3), Chase Smith (20:25.7), Michael Wirth (20:51.2), John Jacklin (21:30.1), and Jacob Rohrer (22:34.7)
• The Wolves finished second out the five NSIC teams that competed with an average time of 19:52.6
• The third-place finish was the highest since the team placed third in the 2018 NSIC Preview Meet

Northern State will have two weeks until their next meet, which will be September 24^th at the Roy Griak Invite hosted by the University of Minnesota. Race times are noon for the men and 12:45 p.m. for the women.
