Aberdeen, S.D. – The second annual Dirty Jerde 5k Virtual Race opens today, supporting the Northern State cross country, track and field, and women's basketball program. The race runs June 25 – July 26 and costs $35 per participant.
 
Registration includes a race t-shirt, as well as a printable race bib. Dirty Jerde 5k shirts will be mailed to all participants at the conclusion of the event. In addition to the race, participants can be entered to win prizes (full information below). To register visit nsuwolves.com/dirtyjerde5k. All results must be entered by 11:59 p.m. (CT) on July 26, 2021.
 
How to Participate?
Step 1: Register above and follow our social media pages listed below for event updates, raffles, and giveaways!

Step 2: Select your Route- you can utilize websites such as Map My Run to map a 5k route in your area.
 
Step 3: Print your Dirty Jerde 5k race bib and wear it with Northern pride!
 
Step 4: Complete your 5k! Afterwards, go to race website and manually input your 5k time.
 
Step 5: Upload pictures to social media with the hashtag #dirtyjerde5k (don't forget to make the post public so we can view it) or email them to us at livia.mahaffie@northern.edu. The first 25 people to share their virtual 5k stories will be entered into a raffle for prizes!
