Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team downed Winona State on Saturday morning in a 5-run victory. After falling behind early, the Wolves battled back in their eighth victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Winona State scored in their first at-bats of the contest and held Northern through the first three innings
- Reece Ragatz tied the game in the bottom of the fourth on a homerun to right and the Wolves broke things open in the bottom of the fifth
- Austin Portner doubled to center and Isaiah Chevalier tallied a bunt single; the pair came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Ben Carolin and wild pitch
- Justin Hutter notched the final run of the inning for NSU, reaching on a single through the right side, and scoring on a single up the middle by Ragatz
- Northern tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the eighth on Karson Hesser's double down the right field line scoring Hutter (walk) and Ragatz (double)
- The Wolves recorded six runs on ten hits, giving up two errors defensively
- Seth Brewer tossed his third win of the season, giving up just one run on four hits with ten strikeouts
