Aberdeen, S.D. – In their first home games since the 2018 season, the Northern State University baseball team swept Winona State scoring a combined 18 runs. Northern tallied 26 hits in the wins, improving to 7-7 overall on the year. The two wins also were the 299th and 300th of head coach
Dean Berry's career.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Winona State scored first, notching one run in the top of the first, however the Wolves rallied back gaining the lead in the bottom of the frame
- Northern notched three runs on five hits in the bottom of the third, scored by Justin Hutter, Reece Ragatz, and Ramon Vega Jr.
- The Wolves added a five spot in the second on four hits as well; scoring in the inning was Hutter, Vega Jr. Karson Hesser, and Spencer Sarringar
- The Warriors chipped away with one run in the third, however the Wolves added one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth
- Northern notched their 12 runs on 16 hits with one error defensively
- Zach Hrvol grabbed the win, throwing six complete, giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits with seven strikeouts
- Andrew Pugliano threw one scoreless inning of relief

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves held the Warriors scoreless through the first six innings of action and notched one run in the first, three in the fourth, and two in the fifth on offense
- Isaiah Chevalier tallied Northern's run in the first after he opened the game with a double to right center
- Reece Ragatz led off the fourth with a double to right center and came around to score on Spencer Sarringar's double to left
- Karson Hesser reached on a single through the left side and scored on a Jack Paulson single through the left side as well
- Sarringar tallied the final run of the fourth for the Wolves on a sacrifice bunt by Austin Portner
- Ragatz and Ramon Vega Jr. scored for the Wolves in the fifth on a double by Vega Jr. and a single by Karson Hesser
- Winona State tallied one run in the top of the seventh and held the Northern through the remainder of the game
- NSU recorded six runs on ten hits, playing perfect defense
- Max Otto earned the first win of his career, throwing seven innings with one earned run, six hits, and six strikeouts
- Mike Stubbs entered in relief, tossing two scoreless innings with one hit and three strikeouts
