Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball split the series on Wednesday versus Augustana University from Fossum Field. The Wolves took the lead late in the second game 4-3 with a nail biting performance.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Augustana tallied one run in the top of the first, and another run in the top of the fourth
- As a team Northern produced four hits but unfortunately did not have any runs throughout the game
- Bryan Baker pitched all seven innings and suffered the loss, allowing six hits while striking out six hitters

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Augustana tallied three runs in the top of the fourth inning
- Northern added two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and proceeded to take the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning
- The Wolves recorded four runs and four hits
- Isaiah Chevalier scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth
- Ramon Vega Jr. hit the only homerun for the Wolves, which scored Justin Hutter
- Pinch runner, Bryce Krattiger, scored the game winning run on a wild pitch
- Seth Brewer, Zach Hartford, Mike Stubbs, Max Otto, and Zach Hrvol all contributed to the 13 team strikeouts
- Max Otto earned the win, throwing two complete innings with zero runs and four strikeouts
- Zach Hrvol entered in the ninth, holding the Vikings scoreless in his first save of the season
