Five Wolves Honored on NSIC All-Conference Teams, Fox and Phillips Highlight with Individual Awards

Burnsville, Minn. – Five Northern State Wolves landed on the Northern Sun All-Conference teams today highlighted by NSIC North Division Player and Defensive Player of the Year, Parker Fox and NSIC North Division Coach of the Year, Saul Phillips. Fox also landed on the all-conference first team alongside Mason Stark, while Andrew Kallman and Tommy Chatman earned second team and honorable mention selections.
 
Phillips led the Wolves to a 15-1 record and their fourth straight NSIC North Division Championship. Northern State notched a school record win streak of 24 games, dating back February of 2020. NSU sits in the top-5 of the NSIC in scoring defense, field goal percentage defense, defensive rebounds, and turnover margin. In addition, the Wolves lead the NSIC in field goal percentage (51.1%), assist/turnover ratio (1.7), blocked shots (6.1), and assists (17.4). Phillips improved his career record to 256-168.
 
Fox averages a league leading 22.7 points per game, as well as 9.6 rebounds per game. He sits top-4 in the NSIC shooting 63.4% from the floor and grabbing 1.9 steals per game. In addition, Fox leads the league averaging 3.1 blocks per game, with 49 total blocks this season. He recorded six double-doubles this season, in addition to career highs in scoring (39), rebounding (21), and assists (7). The redshirt junior became a member of the Northern State 1,000 point club in 2021 and earned four NSIC North Division Player of the Week awards and one National Player of the Week honor. Fox tallied career highs in points (39), rebounds (21), and assists (7) in 2021.
 
Stark is second on the team averaging 16.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game with a 52.9 field goal percentage. The redshirt junior has knocked down 28 from beyond the arc, shooting 48.3%. He has 54 assists, 15 steals, and four blocks this season. Stark leads the NSIC with a 4.5 assist/turnover ratio and ranks in the top-15 of the NSIC in scoring, field goal percentage, and assists. He recorded career highs in rebounds (11) and assists (7) this season.
 
Kallman is averaging 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in his senior campaign. He leads the team with 68 total assists, averaging 4.3 per game. The senior sits tied for fourth in the NSIC in assists. He is shooting 46.5% from the field and 40.9% from the 3-point line. Kallman added 11 steals and seven blocks in the regular season. The senior tallied career highs in points (22) and rebounds (8) this season.
 
Chatman is third on the team averaging 10.6 points per game, adding 40 rebounds, 28 assists, ten steals, and four blocks. The sophomore is shooting 48.6% from the floor and 79.3% from the foul line. He tallied a career high nine assists in the Wolves win over MSU Moorhead.
