Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team travels to Minot State University this week to face off against the Beavers. The Wolves will be competing in their first NSIC match of the season. The two teams will compete in a typical dual with extra matches taking place prior to the main event. Extra matches will kick off at 6:30 p.m. followed by the main dual at 7 p.m. Following the dual on Friday, the Wolves travel to MSU Moorhead to compete in the Dragon Open on Sunday, December 5. Matchups are set to kickoff at 10 a.m.

• The Wolves are 1-0 heading into the Thursday match-up after an outing in the Jimmy Invite and a 37-9 win over Concordia-Moorhead
• Kolton Roth looks to hold down his No. 12 ranking at the 141-pound weight class in the NWCA Top-25 poll
• Brenden Salfrank, Robert Coyle III, Chase Bloomquist, Josh Trumble, Nathan Schauer, and Caleb Lefferdink are all coming off of top-5 finishes from the Jimmy Invite

• Brandon Meikel, Ethan Wonser, Marco Ramireslazos Nathan Baca, Cannon Potts, Noah Gallardo, Cayden White, Noe Garcia and Dustin Swisher all tallied top-5 finishes for the Beavers at the Jimmy Invite
• Minot is led by head coach Evan Forde in his fifth season at the helm

• Northern beat Minot 25-13 in the third regular season dual of 2020-2021
