HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite playing without All-NSIC honoree Natalia Szybinska, who was injured in the late stages of Friday's win over Upper Iowa, Northern State battled through 15 ties and eight different lead changes to claim the opening set of the day. The Wolves hit .261 in that set, their best effort of the match.
- Winona State, however, the No. 8 team in the nation, recovered in the final three sets, jumping out to early leads and never relinquishing them.
- The Warriors had 58 total kills and a .244 team attack percentage. In contrast, the Wolves had just 42 kills and a .125 attack percentage.
