Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2021 NSIC Preseason Baseball Coaches' Poll earlier today. The Wolves were picked ninth in the poll, earning 78 points.
The Wolves are coming off their interrupted spring 2020 season, where they held a 1-12 record through the first 13 non-conference games. Northern ended the year with an 11-7 victory over No. 6 St. Cloud State. NSU returns 28 from a season ago, including NSIC Preseason Player and Pitcher to Watch
Spencer Sarringar and
Seth Brewer. In addition, the Wolves welcome 12 newcomers to the roster, with a mixture of both freshman and junior college transfers. Northern is currently set to open the season versus Wayne State in NSIC action on March 20 and 21, however they are working to schedule non-conference games in March at US Bank Stadium.

The Pierre native recorded a .311 batting average and .975 fielding percentage in 2019 as a redshirt freshman. Defensively he did not give up an error and caught six runners stealing from behind the plate.
