Fan Information for Men's Basketball versus Minnesota Crookston; No General Admission Tickets

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State Athletics announced today that no general admission tickets will be sold for this weekend's men's basketball doubleheader versus Minnesota Crookston. The current high priority population for admittance is Wolves Club members (season ticket holders), suite holders, NSU students, NSU team parents/families via passbook, and visiting team parents/families/fans. 
 
Updated attendance rules and regulations can be found below and listed at nsuwolves.com/covid/fans. Northern will continue to monitor single game general admission ticket sales on a game-by-game basis. Information regarding sales will be released early in the week prior to the Friday/Saturday games.
 
FACE COVERINGS
  • Per South Dakota Board of Regents Policy, face coverings are required in the Barnett Center/Wachs Arena at all times, except for when you are eating or drinking. You will not be permitted to enter the gate unless you have a face covering on.
    • Fans who are not in compliance with the South Dakota Board of Regents Policy stated above will be asked to leave the arena
GENERAL OVERVIEW
  • Attendance at Wachs Arena for Wolves basketball and wrestling will be limited to 25 % capacity.
    • For basketball, Wolves Club members, student-athlete families, and NSU students will be given priority for admittance. There is no guarantee that we will sell any tickets at the door.
      • If general admission walk-up tickets will be available for sale, NSU will release the quantity available on Monday of each week on this web site and through social media.
  • The North entrance to the Barnett Center will be open throughout the season, while the South and West entrances will be CLOSED due to Dacotah Bank Stadium construction and social distancing guidelines for teams and fans.
  • The passbook for student-athlete parents/facilities will be located at the North entrance to the Barnett Center. The ticket attendant on the right side of the concourse will handle the passbook.
  • Game Programs will not be printed this year, however they can be found digitally on the on the NSU Game Day page. In addition, the Game Day page will be available through the NSU Mobile app and via QR Code Signs in Wachs Arena on game day.
SAFETY MEASURES AROUND THE ARENA
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stations will be located around the main concourse and in the Arena. Please use these frequently.
  • Team benches will be spaced out and limited and the seating sections adjusted accordingly to ensure plenty of room for the team bench to be socially distant from the fans.
    • Team benches will be sanitized with the electrostatic disinfectant sprayer at halftime of each contest.
  • Toe kick openers have been installed on all bathroom doors to limit touch points on entrances.
  • The Arena seats will be sprayed via electrostatic disinfectant sprayer after the completion of each competition by NSU Staff, and common areas will be cleaned throughout the event by NSU staff.

WOLVES CLUB MEMBER SEATING
  • Wolves Club season ticket holders received their season pass, which includes seating information in the mail.
  • Wolves Club seating is designated to the North chair back seats and South bleachers in the arena [see seating chart linked above].
  • NSU Athletics encourages all Wolves Club members to sit in their assigned seat, however if following tip-off seats are open in the North and South bleachers moving is permitted.
    • Please remember to compile with social distancing measures when moving seats.
  • The Wolves Club will prioritize seating in the reserved section for members who have paid for their 2020-21 memberships. Folks that haven't renewed/paid for this year's membership may be placed in the south middle bleacher section (no chair back seats) – you may bring a portable bleacher seat back chair. We need your support more than ever, please consider renewing your membership as soon as possible to help support student-athlete scholarships!
  • Seats or sections that are unavailable will be marked with caution tape to ensure social distance.

WOLVES CLUB PRIORITY PARKING
  • Members who have paid for priority parking for basketball will need to drive up to the parking attendants either on the northeast entrance or the west entrance to the lot and give their name. 
  • Note the WEST Barnett Center entrance will be closed for this year due to COVID restrictions and compliance with NSIC/NCAA protocols.
  • The attendant will then give you your priority parking pass for the year. You will need to present this pass for the remainder of the year each time you attend a basketball game. 
  • Once in your parking space, place the pass on the dash.
NSU BASKETBALL PARENTS/FAMILIES
  • NSU Basketball parents/families that receive admission via the passbook through their son or daughter will be allowed to sit in sections N and O in the south bleachers.
    • Section N is directly behind the home bench area and can be seen in the Wachs Arena seating diagram below.
  • Parents will arrive at the North entrance and go to the right side ticket booth in the main Barnett Center concourse. After checking their name with the attendant via the passbook, the ticket taker will provide a color coded pass (unique to each game) that will need to be shown to the security worker in order to enter the designated south bleachers seating section and eventually section N/O behind the home team bench. Parents will not be allowed to enter the south bleacher walk way area to access section N/O without the color coded pass.
VISITING TEAM PARENTS AND GENERAL FAN ATTENDANCE
  • NSU will set aside at least 100 tickets for visiting fans/parents each week. 
  • NSU staff will send to each visiting institution's administration with instructions to list those parents/fans who may attend the upcoming games at NSU. This limited group of tickets will be available for purchase at the door at the North main entrance ticket booth at the night of the game. 
  • The visiting parent/fan will approach the ticket taker on the left side of the main Barnett Center concourse and state that they are on the visiting team fans list. The ticket taker will then check off their name and process payment for the number of tickets requested. Visiting fans will be provided with a color coded pass that will need to be shown to the security worker in order to enter the designated south visiting team seating section behind the visiting team bench.
  • Visiting parents will be permitted to sit in section L behind the visiting team bench [see seating chart linked above].

NSU STUDENT ADMISSION
  • NSU students should bring their valid NSU ID and swipe at the North main entrance of the Barnett Center. The ticket gate on the right sight of the concourse will handle all student ID's. Upon entering the Arena, NSU students should go to the west bleachers, which is the designated NSU student seating section. Students will need to show their NSU student ID to the security worker in order to walk past the south bleacher section to get to the designated west bleacher NSU student section.
