Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team will host a full game intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday October 17 from Swisher Field. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. with the south tailgate lot opening at 4 p.m. for all fans. The scrimmage will follow normal game rules including; quarter length, play clock, scoring, officials, etc.
Admission to the scrimmage is free for all, however all Wolves Club members are invited to a member only tailgate beginning at 4 p.m. with free food. Within the tailgate, tables and chairs will be spaced out to accommodate social distancing. In addition, food items will be served by Northern State staff with proper PPE and disposable condiments will be available.

austin.hieb@northern.edu. The Official Nike Team Store will be open in the tailgate lot prior to kickoff and in the complex through the end of halftime for fans to gear up with the latest Wolves Athletics items.
Swisher Field provides ample space to follow CDC guidelines, including social distancing both in the complex and tailgate lot. Fans are encouraged to follow all CDC guidelines (listed below), in addition to facility guidelines such as the posted distanced seating. Fans may sit anywhere in the 6,000+ seats including the non-traditional (visitors) side to ensure social distancing.
The Wolves coaching staff with draft players for the game the week prior, with each team having just a week's worth of practice together. Stay tuned to nsuwolves.com in the days leading up to the scrimmage for draft updates and the release of the maroon and white rosters.
Northern State University & NSU Athletics are following CDC guidelines to help prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19. NSU asks all individuals to follow these prevention tips:
- Practice safe social distancing, keeping at least 6 feet between individuals at all times.
- Wash hands thoroughly and sanitize equipment after use.
- Wear a mask and/or gloves when possible.
- Stay home if you are sick, especially if you are experiencing fever, cough or shortness of breath.

- Fans are encouraged to wear a facial covering, especially in situations where social distancing becomes difficult (specifically the restrooms and indoor spaces)
