Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State men's and women's basketball program tradition lives on, as the Wolves have led the NCAA in attendance for the 13^th season in a row. Northern has become a national hub for Division II basketball leading the nation on both the men's and women's side.
 
The Northern State men tallied 49,086 total fans in 2019-20, averaging 3,506 fans per contest. That mark is nearly 1,100 fans per game over runner-up Dixie State and 1,700 more fans per game than their closest NSIC opponent in Augustana who came in at number nine with 1,776.
 
The Wolves women recorded 37,050 total fans, averaging 2,470 fans per game this past season. Northern just edged out Fort Hays State, who averaged 2,465 per contest and averaged over 775 more per game than their closest NSIC opponent Augustana who came in at number five with 1,694.
 
The NSIC came in second behind regional conference the MIAA on both the men's and women's sides. The league recorded 933 fans per contest for men's games and 762 fans per contest for women's games.
