Seven Join Wolves for 2020-21

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach Lynne Dingman announced today the additions of seven men and women to the track and field program for the 2020-21 season, as well as two that will compete under head coach Livia Mahaffie on the cross country teams. Chase Domier (Wadena, Minn.), Maxwell Geditz (Ipswich, S.D.), Aiden Gosselin (Las Vegas, Nev.), Jed Hansen (Redwood Falls, Minn.), Jared Loecker (Aberdeen, S.D.), Megan Pickering (Brandon, S.D.), and Terry Towah (Arden Hills, Minn.) will join the Wolves this fall.  

Chase DomierChase Domier • Wadena, Minn. • Wadena-Deer Creek HS
Chase Domier is a sprinter out of Wadena Deer Creek High School. He was a 3-year letter winner for the Wolverines under the direction of head coach Marc Reynolds. Domier holds personal bests of 7.21 in the 60m, 11.23 in the 100m, 23.38 in the 200m, and 51.10 in the 400m. He is a 2-time Minnesota State Champion in the 4x200 and 4x400 relays. In addition, Domier earned all-state honors in the 4x100 relay. He is the son of Sharon and Brad Domier.
 
Dingman on Domier:
"We are excited to add Chase to our sprints crew. Chase has a lot of success in the relays in high school and we are excited to see what he can do at the next level."
 

Maxwell GeditzMaxwell Geditz • Ipswich, S.D. • Ipswich HS
Maxwell Geditz is a 6-foot-2 high jumper out of Ipswich High School. He was a 6-year letter winner for the Tigers under the direction of head coach Todd Thorson. Geditz is the 2019 South Dakota State Champion in the high jump, with a personal best mark of 6-06.00. In addition, he tallied podium finishes in the 4x400m, 4x200m, and 800m. His 2018 and 2017 4x800m relays also won the State Championship. Geditz was a member of the 2017 SD State Championship cross country team at Ipswich High School.  He is the son of Greg and Brenda Geditz.
 
Dingman on Geditz:
"Max has had a very storied career for the Ipswich Tigers. He has great range on the track and is versatile athlete who is going to try the decathlon in college."
 

Aiden GosselinAiden Gosselin • Las Vegas, Nev. • Liberty HS
Aiden Gosselin is a pole vaulter out of Liberty High School. He was a 2-year letter winner for the Patriots under the direction of head coach John Lentsch. Gosselin is a 2-time Nevada regional qualifier in 2019 and 2020. He is the son of Scott and Tammy Gosselin and brother of current Wolves student-athlete Teddy Gosselin.
 
Dingman on Gosselin:
"Aiden is going to contribute some added depth to our men's pole vault crew. We are excited to see him develop and get him to some new heights."
 

Jed HansenJed Hansen • Redwood Falls, Minn. • Redwood Valley
Jed Hansen is a pole vaulter out of Redwood Valley High School. He was a 4-year letter winner and team captain for the Cardinals under the direction of head coach Andy Regainer. Hansen qualified for the Minnesota State Meet in 2019 and earned all-conference accolades. Redwood Valley won four straight conference titles in his tenure. He is the son of Pat and Nancy Hansen.
 
Dingman on Hansen:
"We are thrilled to add Jed to our vault crew. Jed has been a part of several team championships during his high school career and he will bring a winning mentality to our squad. We are excited to get him to some big heights this coming year."
 

Jared LoeckerJared Loecker • Aberdeen, S.D. • Central HS
Jared Loecker is a distance runner out of Aberdeen Central High School. He tallied a personal best of 16:45.00 in the 5k a season ago and is an all-conference and all-state honoree. Loecker finished 11th at the South Dakota State Cross Country meet in 2019. The Golden Eagles won the ESD Conference Championship and finished as the South Dakota State runner-up in cross country in 2019. He is the son of Todd Loecker and Cynthia Wixon-Loecker.
 
Mahaffie on Loecker:
"Jared brings great experience to our distance squad as a local product from Central's distance program. He has shown consistent improvement over the years and will fit in well with our current athletes."
 

Megan PickeringMegan Pickering • Brandon, S.D. • Brandon Valley HS
Megan Pickering is a distance runner out of Brandon Valley High School. She was a 4-year letter winner and team captain for the Lynx under the direction of head coach Tony Thoreson. Pickering holds personal records of 21:10.00 in the 5k, 2:28.00 in the 800m, 5:30.00 in the 1600m, and 12:03.00 in the 3200m. She is an academic all-state recipient. Pickering was a member of the 2017 AA Cross Country Championship and 2018 AA Track and Field Championship teams. She is the daughter of Tom and Cindy Pickering.
 
Mahaffie on Pickering:
"Megan is an all-around quality student-athlete. She works hard on the course and in the classroom. She will add depth to our women's squad."
 

Terry TowahTerry Towah • Arden Hills, Minn. • Mounds View HS
Terry Towah is a sprinter out of Mounds View High School. He was a 3-year letter winner for the Mustangs under the direction of head coach Ross Fleming. Towah holds personal records of 11.20 in the 100m, 22.07 in the 200m, and 49.27 in the 400m.  He earned all-state accolades in the indoor 4x400m. Towah holds two Mounds View school records in the 200m and 400m, as well as the freshman records in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. He is a 6-time state placer winner, finishing as high as third in the indoor 200m and 400m. He is the son of Andre and Portia Kieren.

"We are thrilled to have Terry part of the Wolf Pack. He is a dynamic sprinter who will be a difference maker for us on the track."
