Kissimmee, Fla. – The Northern State University baseball team was unable snap their losing steam Monday evening, falling to Wayne State University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Wayne State struck first in the top of the second inning as two runs were scored on a double to center field
• The Wildcats tacked on another run in the third on a double to right field that extended their lead to 3-0
• After allowing six Wildcat runs to cross home plate, the Wolves recorded their first run of the game in the seventh inning
• Niko Pezonella hit a sacrifice fly to right field allowing Connor Burgess to score
• NSU tallied one more run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly to left field by Connor Burgess scoring Spencer Larson
• Northern State allowed two more runs in the ninth inning on two hits in what would be the final score of the game 8-2
• Northern had a line of two runs, six hits, and one defensive error in the game 

• Zach Hrvol was credited with the loss allowing six hits, six walks, and one strikeout in his 4.0 innings pitched
