Kissimmee, Fla. – The Northern State University baseball team fell to the University of Findlay and Saint Anselm earlier today in the Sunshine State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves trailed early in the game, letting up six runs in the top of the first inning on six hits including a 3-run homerun
- Northern brought their first run across the plate in the fifth, as Isaiah Chevalier reached first on a wild pitch and Ben Carolin scored from third
- NSU added another run in the sixth on a Justin Hutter single to left field allowing Chad Hinkle to score; the run cut the Wolves deficit to four
- The Wolves allowed four runs in the seventh inning on five hits, then another four runs on four hits in the eighth inning
- Northern recorded two runs on seven hits with no defensive errors in the game
- Cody Curfman was credited with the loss allowing nine hits, one walk, and ten strikeouts in his 6.0 innings pitched

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Anselm stuck first in the bottom of the second on a single through the left side, taking a 1-0 lead
- NSU tied the game in the third on a Connor Burgess single up the middle that allowed Alex Gauer to score
- The Wolves allowed three Hawks to score in the third inning off two hits and two errors, leaving Saint Anselm up 4-1
- The Hawks scored three more runs in the fifth inning with four hits extending their lead 7-1
- NSU chipped away in the sixth inning, as Spencer Sarringar scored on a passed ball cutting the lead to 8-2
- SAC tallied two more runs in the eighth inning on three hits that included a 2-RBI double
- Northern recorded two runs, four hits, and two defensive errors
- Brian Baker got the loss allowing four hits and striking out five batters in his 3.0 innings pitched
