Three Wolves Land on All-Conference Teams, Fox Named Defensive Player of the Year

Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released today the 2019-20 Men's Basketball All-Conference teams with two Wolves honored. Sophomore Parker Fox was named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year and landed on the first team, while senior Gabe King and sophomore Mason Stark were named to the second team. Fox is the first NSIC Defensive Player of the Year since 2003-04, when NSU Hall of Famer Matt Hammer earned the honor.
 
Fox led the NSIC in blocked shots, averaging 2.3 per game with 51 total versus league opponents. In addition, he ranked top-10 in the league in scoring (20.3), rebounding (8.3), and field goal percentage (60.9). The sophomore recorded career highs in points (37) and blocks (10) versus NSIC opponents this season. He has started all 29 games for the Wolves, leading the team averaging 19.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Fox was named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week for three straight weeks this season. This is the first all-conference honors of his career.
 
King has started all 29 games for the Wolves this season, averaging 12.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The senior is shooting 47.0% from the floor and has knocked down a team second best 59 buckets from beyond the arc. He has 40 assists, 21 steals, and 16 blocks on the year. In addition, King is shooting a team high 91.7% from the foul line. He was named to the NSIC All-Conference honorable mention team a season ago.
 
Stark has appeared in all 29 games this season, starting 26 total. He is second on the team averaging 15.3 points per game and leads the Wolves with 57 made 3-pointers and a 57.9 field goal percentage from beyond the arc. In addition, the sophomore is shooting a team second best 59.1% from the floor, adding 81 assists, 18 steals, and six blocks. Stark tallied career highs in points (37), rebound (9), assists (6), and steals (3) versus NSIC foes this season. He ranked in the top-15 in 3-point field goals made and is second with a 3.6 assist/turnover ratio in league competition. This is the first all-conference honors of his career.
