Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released today the 2019-20 Wrestling All-Conference teams, with Northern State junior
Marcus Placide earning a second team nod. The all-conference teams were selected by the league coaches with the top point receivers at each weight class being named first team and the second being named to the second team. The NSIC Wrestler of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year will be selected by the league coaches and announced following the NCAA Championships.
Placide a 25-5 record on the year and 6-2 mark in NSIC action. The Minneapolis native has nine decision wins, four major decisions, five technical falls, six victories by fall, and one overtime win. He spent the middle weeks of the season ranked at No. 11 in the NWCA National Poll at 184 pounds.
