Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University freshman and South Africa natives
Lauren Forsyth and
Georgy Turner made the cut for their country's Olympic trials heading into the summer 2020 games. The qualifying standards were released by the SAYOUTH last week.
Forsyth qualified with her times in the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 IM, while Turner qualified with her time in the 100 back. The pair are the third and fourth current and former Northern State Wolves to qualify for their respective Olympic trials. NSU alumni
Hannah Kastigar will compete in the US Olympic trials this June, and sophomore
Emma Murdock entered school with Canadian trial cuts.
Despite qualification the pair will not be competing in the Olympic trials event.
