Northern State Men's Basketball Ready for Road Games in Minnesota

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State men's basketball hits the road this weekend for more NSIC action as they get set to take on Minnesota Crookston with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off on Friday. Saturday the Wolves will take on Bemidji State, that game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
 
ABOUT THE NORTHERN STATE WOLVES
• Northern State sports a 10-4 overall records, 6-2 in conference play and 3-1 on the road this season
• The Wolves lone road loss was dealt to them back on November 30th against MSU Moorhead
• Northern is averaging 78.1 points per game with a scoring margin of +7.7
• The Wolves are shooting 48.8% from the floor this season and making on average 7.3 three-pointers per game
• Northern State currently sits second in the nation for division two in total assists with 214 on the season
• The Wolves also sit third in the nation in total blocks with 63
• 137 total turnovers for NSU this season ranks them second in the nation for fewest turnovers behind Wayne St. (MI)
• Northern currently sits fourth overall in the NSIC and second in the north division
• The last meeting with Bemidji State at home NSU led 40-34 at the half shooting 57.14% from the floor and 62.50% from distance
• In the mast meeting with Minnesota Crookston, the Wolves led by a commanding 61-27 at the half shooting 80.65% from the floor and 70.0% from distance
 
ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
• Minnesota Crookston is 7-7 overall, 3-5 in conference and 3-1 at home on the season
• Last weekend the Golden Eagles got swept by St. Cloud State (72-52) and Minnesota Duluth (78-64)
• UMC is averaging -3.3 points less per game than their opponents
• Minnesota Crookston is making an average of 24.6 field goals per game
• They are shooting 41.7% from the floor
• The Golden Eagles have been grabbing 30.9 rebounds per game, -6.6 rebounds less than their opponents who are averaging 37.5 rebounds per game against UMC
• Minnesota Crookston has been good at forcing opponent turnovers with 13.1 and scoring 15.4 points off turnovers by opponents

• BSU takes on MSU Moorhead on Friday before seeing the Wolves on Saturday
• The Beavers have been out-scoring their opponents by an average of 11.8 points per game and grabbing an average of 6.0 more rebounds 
• Bemidji is shooting 49.5% from the floor (second-best in NSIC overall), 42.0% from distance (best in NSIC overall) and 73.7% at the foul line
• Nick Wagner is the Beavers top scorer averaging 17.4 points per game
• Bemidji State is led by Mike Boschee as he enters his eighth season with the Beavers
