Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach
Lynne Dingman announced today the addition of two student-athletes to the track and field program. Cassidy Gough joins the Wolves for the 2020 indoor and outdoor seasons, while Avery Bad Moccasin will join the program in the fall of 2020.

Brady Janssen, Kenzee Danielson (Harrisburg, S.D.), Kenzie Hamann (Clear Lake, S.D.), Lydia Kline (Aberdeen, S.D.), Makenna Larson (Chester, S.D.), Christine Nefzger (Estelline, S.D.), Rylie Stonecipher (Rapid City, S.D.), and Christine Stoltenberg (Stratford, S.D.).
Cassidy Gough • Aberdeen, S.D. • Central HS • Utah Valley State
Cassidy Gough is a thrower out of Aberdeen Central and Utah Valley State. Gough was named the Aberdeen Central Female Athlete of the Year in 2019 after earning ten varsity letters in three sports. In addition, she was a multiple time all-conference and all-state performer. She is the daughter of Northern State track and field alumni Steve and Tricia Gough.
Dingman on Gough:
"Cassidy was a tremendous athlete in high school. She excelled in serval sports for CHS. Both of her parents were standout throwers for the Wolves. Her mom, Tricia is a member of the NSU Hall of fame. We are excited for Cassidy to try some new events with the throws. She is a very dynamic athlete and we feel she will catch on immediately to the throwing events."
Avery Bad Moccasin • Aberdeen, S.D. • Central HS
Avery Bad Moccasin is a hurdler out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 4-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles under the direction of head coach Greg Murley. Bad Moccasin is a multiple time state placer in the relay events, while also a top-4 finisher in the 300m hurdles (2019). He is an all-conference (2019) and all-state selection (2018 and 2019). He is the son of Troy and Leanne Bad Moccasin.
Dingman on Bad Moccasin:
"Avery had a standout Junior year for the Eagles last spring. He will be a top contender in the 400 hurdles and sprints for the Wolves next year. We are excited to have him part of the Wolf Pack next year."
