Northern State Men's Basketball Set for Weekend of Games at Home

Aberdeen, S.D. – (RV) Northern State men's basketball ready for a home stand this weekend as they face the Huskies of St. Cloud State at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.  Then the Wolves will face the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday
 
ABOUT THE NORTHERN STATE WOLVES
•  Northern State returns home after another weekend sweep giving them a record of 14-4 overall and 10-2 in the NSIC placing them first overall
•  The Wolves were put to the test last weekend defeating Augustana (82-77) and Wayne State (82-72)
•  NSU are second in the conference scoring an average of 84.3 points
•  The Wolves are first in the league for assist/turnover ratio at 1.66 in NSIC play, while also being tenth in the nation with a 1.56 season ratio
•  Northern State is shooting 49.2% from the floor setting them 32nd in the nation
•  The Wolves rank 55th in the nation for defensive field-goal percentage at 42.4%
•  NSU is currently on a five game win streak going back to January 4 against Winona State
 
ABOUT THE HUSKIES
•  St. Cloud State enters the weekend 10-8 overall, 7-5 in conference play and 2-5 on the road this season
•  The Huskies are shooting 48.4% from the floor, 34.9% from distance, and 70.2% at the foul line this season
•  SCSU is averaging 79.2 points per game with a +7.5 scoring margin
•  St. Cloud is averaging 33.8 rebounds per game, an average of 2.4 more rebounds than their opponents are
