2nd Annual NSU Golf Classic Results

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State Athletics would like to congratulate the winners of the second annual NSU Wolves Golf Classic, which took place from Lee Park Golf Course on Friday, July 12.
 
Kerry Jacobson, Jon Aldinger, Jeremy Wasem, Kody Schochenmaier, and Mike Kolb took home the gross championship with a score of 56 (-16), while Jordan Ryckman, Brian Rau, Chris Larson, Drake Paterson, and Mark Rausch won the net championships with a score of 48 (-24).
 
In addition to the 5-person scramble tournament scoring, four winners were announced for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt, and closest second shot. Nicole Hieb recorded the longest drive of the day on hole two, while Bobbi Hegge was the closest to the pin on hole eight. Ryan Schimke took home top honors with the longest putt on hole 11 and closest second shot on hole 17.
 
The day opened with the longest drive and chipping competitions, with winners Chris Brockhouse (drive) and Jonathan Goff (chip). Thank you to all the golfers that participated and those that took part in the silent auction, as all proceeds from the tournament go to Northern State student-athlete scholarships.
