ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State's Kennady Thompson (softball) and Spenser Larson (baseball) have been named as the Qdoba Athletes of the Week for their athletic efforts last week. Each week, Qdoba Mexican Grill honors two athletes for their efforts on the field of play.
 
Kennady Thompson led the Northern State Wolves hitting .526 in six games versus MSUM, #22 WSU, and UIU. She cranked out ten hits, including one double and three homeruns. Thompson led the team with ten RBI and a 1.053 slugging percentage. She added three runs scored, one sacrifice fly, and one walk. Thompson went a perfect 3-for-3 with one runs scored, four RBI, and a homerun in the Wolves win over Upper Iowa.
 
Spenser Larson hit .444 over the week with one double, two homeruns, four runs batted in, and 1-for-1 on stolen bases. Against Augustana, he hit a two-run homerun over the right field fence to tie the game at three in the fourth inning. In the final game of the Wayne series, Larson crushed a solo homerun to left-center in the seventh inning, cutting the Wayne State lead in half.
