• Minot scored two runs in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead early.
• NSU responded with two runs in the third inning on back-to-back doubles in the third inning by Justin Barreneche and Hayden Houts that scored Spenser Larson and Barreneche.
• Minot scored one run in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead.
• Houts tied the game in the fifth inning with a solo home run.
• The Beavers scored six runs in the sixth inning to take game one by a final of 9-3.
