Sioux Falls, S.D. – The relay team of Kastigar, Asuncion, Maillet, and Gillund broke the school record in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.06 and picked up an eighth place finish in the relay. In day two, the Wolves tallied 12 season best, five personal best times, and two "A" times.
In the first event of finals,
Hannah Kastigar recorded her second NSIC Championship with a NSIC and "A" cut finish of 4:14.96 in the 400 IM. In the 200 freestyle, Gillund finished in 16th place picking up one point for the team with a time of 1:59.43.
In the first event of the preliminaries, Kastigar finished with the top time and an NCAA "A" cut and new NSIC record with a time of 4:17.17 in the 400 Individual Medley.
Lexie Malimanek finished in 23rd place with a time of 5:11.00.
Kalina Emaus finished the 400 IM with a time of 4:52.39.
The next event, in the 100 butterfly
Ashley Dunn finished in 28th place with a time of 1:01.96. In the final event of the preliminaries,
Josie Gillund finished in 15th place with a time of 1:56.58 in the 200 freestyle.
Wolves are back in action tomorrow, for day three of the NSIC Championship with the preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 6 p.m.
