Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 7 Northern State University volleyball team fell to No. 18 Southwest Minnesota State in 5-sets from Wachs Arena on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State won the opening set 25-19, however the Mustangs stormed back for a 26-24 win in set two
- The Wolves took set three with a score of 25-23 and the Mustangs answered with a 25-20 victory in set four
- Southwest ultimately prevailed in the fifth set with a score of 15-13, despite a Northern State 3-point run to tie things at 12-all
- NSU tallied a match high 68 kills, 62 assists, and 80 digs in the loss, hitting .231 as a team
- They added nine blocks and one service ace, however struggled in serve receive themselves giving up ten Mustang aces
- Four Wolves finished the evening with double figure kills, while four notched double digit kills as well
