Wolves Wrestling Faces Concordia Moorhead on the Road Tomorrow Evening

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State wrestling team continues dual action tomorrow at Concordia College. Competition begins at 7 p.m. from Moorhead.
 
QUICK HITS ON THE WOLVES
  • Northern State opened dual competition two weeks ago with a 42-3 victory over Saint John's University
  • The Wolves are coming off a strong weekend at the Finn Grinaker Open with three weight class victories from Dayne Morton (133), Caden Moore (149), and Marcus Placide (184)
  • Morton has now won all three opens that the Wolves have attended this season, leading the team with a perfect 12-0 record overall
  • Placide and Moore have double figure wins as well with records of 13-1 and 10-1 respectively
  • Walker Carr is the final Wolf in double figures with a 10-4 record on the year
  • In addition, Northern opened the year ranked fourth in the NWCA regionally rankings with eight wrestlers ranked individually in Super Region 5

  • Concordia Moorhead opened dual competition with a 28-6 loss versus the University of Mary two weeks ago
  • The Cobbers recorded six top-6 finishes from the Finn Grinaker Open last weekend, with Jacob Prunty leading the team taking third at 133 pounds
  • Concordia is led by first year head coach Quincy Osborn, who joined the program as an assistant in 2016
