Northern State Closes out 2019 from Swisher Field

Aberdeen, S.D. – It's senior day in Aberdeen on Saturday, as the Northern State University football team welcomes the University of Minnesota Duluth. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. versus the Bulldogs from Swisher Field.
 
QUICK HITS ON THE NORTHERN STATE WOLVES
                • Northern enters the final game of the season with a 6-4 record overall
                • The Wolves went undefeated on the road this season (5-0), marking the first time to do so in over two decades
                • NSU is averaging 22.2 points, 145.1 yards rushing, 202.3 yards passing, and 347.4 yards of total offense this season
                • Northern ranks top-8 in the NSIC in total offense, rushing offense, rushing defense, kick return average, punt return average, field goals made, interceptions, first downs, opponent third down conversions, and fewest penalties
                • Isaiah Cherrier leads the Wolves backs with 663 rushing yards this season, averaging 4.8 yards per carry and 73.7 yards per game with five touchdowns
                • Hunter Trautman has 1987 yards passing with a 56.7 pass completion percentage; he is averaging 198.7 yards per game with 12 touchdowns, as well as 21.3 yards rushing per game with seven touchdowns
                • For the second straight season, Dakota Larson leads the receivers with 818 total yards, averaging 14.1 yards per catch and 81.8 yards per game with six touchdowns

                • UMD is averaging 32.8 points, 191.0 yards rushing, 199.3 yards passing, and 390.3 yards of total offense this season
                • Cazz Martin leads the ground attack with 603 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 8.5 yards per carry and 60.3 yards per game
