Wolves Soccer Ties Wayne State In Double Overtime

Wayne, NE – Northern State soccer took the Wayne State Wildcats into double overtime on Sunday afternoon on the road, coming away with their first tie of the 2019. With the tie, NSU earned one point in the NSIC standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Northern State opened the scoring after 53 minutes of play off the foot of Shianne Rosselli for her first goal of the 2019 season, assisted by Mallory Schoenhard for her first of the season
  • The Wolves took six of their 11 shots in the second half of play, with all six shots on frame
  • NSU was unable to keep the lead as WSC scored the tying goal with approximately four minutes left in regulation
  • Northern was out-shot in both overtime periods 2-4
