Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team tied with University of Mary Friday afternoon 1-1. NSU moves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in NSIC play.
Stephany Estrada scored an early goal at the 6:15 mark of the first half when a save by the UMary goalie redirected to Estrada and she put it in the back in the net to give the Wolves an early 1-0 lead. At the 21:06 mark of the first half UMary tied up the game at one.
NSU had ten shots and four of those shots on goal and six corner kicks in the match.
Shianne Rosselli led the team with two shots on goal,
Tori Collesso recorded one shot on goals, and Estrada recorded the fourth shot on goal for the Wolves.
Jessica Otto allowed one goal and recorded ten saves in the match.
NSU returns to action Sunday afternoon for a NSIC contest against Minot State. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. against the Beavers.
