Wolves swimming opens home season against U-Mary Friday evening

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swimming team host the first meet of the season Friday evening from the Aberdeen YMCA. The meet starts at 5:30 p.m. against the University of Mary.

The Wolves last competed on October 19 were they finished with three race wins against MSU Moorhead.
Hannah Kastigar picked up race wins in the 400 IM with a time of 4:26.87, which is four seconds under the "B" cut time and a first place finish with a time of 58:06.
The Wolves picked up the first relay win of the season from the team of Cassandra Maillet, Maida Walters, Josie Gillund, and Kastigar.
Kalina Emaus and Gillund finished in third and fourth place in the 1000 freestyle. Emaus and Camille Kawaski picked up a third and fourth place finish respectively in the 400 IM.

About U-Mary:

Victoria Murillo set three school records for the Marauders in the 200 freestyle, 50 breaststroke, and the 100 breaststroke.
Anna Jackson hosts the school record in the 200 breaststroke and 1000 freestyle.
Abbey Zajdzinski and Alyssa Boese picked up race wins at the Augustana/Northern State Triangular to open the season.
