St. Cloud, Minn – Northern State University soccer fell to St. Cloud State University Sunday afternoon by a final score of 2-0. With the loss, the Wolves drop to 6-5-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play.
St. Cloud State scored a goal 19:37 into the first half to take a lead over the Wolves. The score would stay 1-0 going into the intermission. The first shot on goal came off the foot of
Stephany Estrada but a save was made by the Huskies keeper.
Darian Leschewski picked up the other shot on goal in the match with a shot in the 89:11 mark of the match.
Leading the Wolves in the match was Estrada and Leschewski each recording a shot on goal in the loss.
Tori Collesso recorded a shot but it was wide of the net and
Elise Benner recorded a shot but was blocked.
Jessica Otto started in net for NSU tallying seven saves out of the nine shots on goal.
Wolves return to Athletic and Recreational Field on Friday night against rival Augustana University. Kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. against the Vikings.
