Wolves Soccer falls to Minnesota Duluth Friday evening on the road

Duluth, Minn. – Northern State University soccer team only recorded three shots in the match in the 2-0 loss to Minnesota Duluth Friday evening. With the loss, the Wolves drop to 6-4-1 overall and 4-3-1 in Northern Sun play.
 
Minnesota Duluth scored the first goal 1:32 seconds in the match and the Wolves could not recover from the deficient. Shianne Rosselli recorded a shot at the 11:48 mark of the first half but was blocked by a Bulldog defender. Shortly after, NSU received the only chance of the game as Stephany Estrada put the only shot on goal in the match.
 
In the 33:25 mark of the first half, NSU received a corner kick but could produce a shot on target. Early in the second half, the Bulldogs scored their second goal of the game off a header to give UMD a two-goal lead. Jessica Otto picked up the loss in net for the Wolves tonight recording eight saves on ten shots seen.
 
The Wolves return to the pitch Sunday afternoon as they complete this road trip at St. Cloud State. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. against the Huskies.
