Wolves Set for Two NSIC Matches this Weekend

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State women's soccer returns to Jerde Field on Friday Sept. 22 at 4 p.m. for a match up against the St. Cloud State University. NSU will then hit the road as they travel to Minnesota Duluth at 1 p.m. Sunday Sept. 24. 

NSU went 1-1 last weekend with a win against Southwest Minnesota State and a loss against University of Sioux Falls in overtime.  Stephany Estrada finished the weekend with four shots and three shots on goal with one goal, and Shianne Rosselli recorded six shots and two shots on goal.  Nicole Griffith aided the win in the match up against SMSU with one shot and one goal.  Justine Charles registered 12 saves in 182 minutes of play bringing her season total to 20 saves. 

About St. Cloud State
  • SCSU is 2-4 overall and 0-3 in NSIC play. 
  • All-time record against the Huskies is 3-6-3.
  • Maria Kass has recorded 11 shot, four shots on goal, and one goal so far this season.
  • Hannah Marion has seven shots, four shots on goal, and one goal on the year.
  • Kelsey Christian has tallied 12 saves in 360 minutes of play, while Leah Schmidt has four saves in 180 minutes of play.
