Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 7 Northern State University volleyball team opened their final weekend of the regular season with a 3-0 victory over (RV) Upper Iowa. With the win, the Wolves improve to 23-4 overall and 16-3 in the NSIC.
The two teams battled through the first two sets with the Wolves coming out on top 25-22 and 25-21. The second and third set break proved to be a boost for the Wolves as they came out blazing in the final set, downing the Peacocks 25-15 after a 7-1 run to open the set. NSU hit .387 in the match, notching their 14
th game of the season hitting above .300. The Wolves added a match leading 56 kills, 55 assists, 65 digs, and eight blocks. Defensively they forced 15 attack errors, as the Peacocks hit just .190.
Hailey Busch led three hitters in double figures with 19 kills on the evening. She hit a team third best .425 while adding ten digs for her sixth double-double of the season.
Jenna Reiff followed with 14 kills of her own on 21 swings. The sophomore did not commit a hitting error, hitting a team leading .667 in the match. Laura Snyder was the final Wolf in double figures with 12 kills, hitting at a .435 clip.
Holly Vancura and Morgan Baufield rounded out the NSU hitters with five and three kills respectively.
Ashley Rozell paced the Wolves offense with 47 assists, averaging 15.67 per set. Northern's engine added three kills, three blocks, a team leading two aces, and ten digs.

Jaiden Langlie with 14 digs of her own. Lexi Boesl and Snyder each added four digs to the team total. Baufield led the team at the net with six total blocks, including one solo stop. Reiff and Busch each tallied two blocks, while Snyder and Vancura notched one.
The Wolves return to action tomorrow in the regular season finale versus No. 15 Winona State. First serve is schedule for 2 p.m. between the two teams, as NSU will also host senior day honoring
Holly Vancura.
