Sioux Falls, S.D. – The No. 9 Northern State University volleyball team fell to No. 18 Augustana 3-1 from Sioux Falls. The Wolves drop to 16-3 overall and 9-2 in the NSIC.
 
The Wolves fell in the first two sets 25-23 and 25-19. NSU bounced back in the third set, dropping the Vikings 25-20, however fell in the fourth set 25-21. The Wolves tallied 51 kills, 49 assists, 63 digs, 12 blocks, and six service aces, while hitting .238 in the match.
 
Hailey Busch led the team with 17 kills, while Laura Snyder hit a team leading .316. Snyder added a team second best ten kills. Holly Vancura notched ten kills of her own, and hit a team second best .273. Jenna Reiff and Morgan Baufield followed with eight and five kills respectively, while Ashley Rozell rounded out the team total with one. Rozell notched 48 assists, averaging 12.0 per set, and was second on the team with four blocks.
 
Busch also led the team on defense with 18 digs, followed by Jaiden Langlie with 14 of her own. Lexi Boesl and Vancura rounded out the players in double figures with 12 and 11 digs respectively. Reiff led the team at the net with nine blocks, while Busch matched Rozell's total of four. Busch finally tallied a team leading three aces, while Baufield, Rozell, and Langlie notched one each.
 
Northern remains on the road next weekend for a pair of matches against Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. First serve is schedule for 6 p.m. on Friday against the Beavers and 4 p.m. on Saturday versus the Golden Eagles.
