Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team returns to the mat tomorrow in a non-conference road dual with Chadron State College. The Wolves and Eagles will match-up at 2 p.m. from Chadron.
Northern looks to bounce back versus Chadron State after a tough couple weeks in the NSIC.
Joe Gomez and
Tyler Stenberg have been the top wrestlers from the squad each leading the team in dual action. Gomez is currently ranked No. 7 in the nation at 197 pounds, and holds a dual record of 14-2 this season. Stenberg has seen success as well with a 10-1 dual record and wins against Division I opponents earlier this season.
About Chadron State- Chadron State is 12-1 in duals the season and undefeated in the RMAC with a 4-0 record
- The Eagles were receiving votes in the last national rankings, placing them at No. 24 in the nation
- Terrance McKinney is ranked No. 2 at 149 pounds this season
- CSC is led by head coach Brett Hunter is in his third year with the Eagle wrestling program
