Aberdeen, S.D.- The Northern State women's basketball team returns home to face off against Augustana University and Wayne State College in celebration of "I Hate Winter" weekend from Wachs Arena. The Wolves are coming off a weekend split on the road defeating Minnesota State (74-61) and falling to Concordia- St. Paul (79-83). Northern sits atop the NSIC North with an overall record of 16-5 overall and a 12-4 record in league play, locked in with division rivals MSUM.
Through mid-season action, the Wolves are shooting 42.0% from the floor, 31.2% from 3-point range, and 73.7% from the foul line. Two starters are in double-digit scoring with sophomore
Jill Conrad leading the way with a 13.7 points per game average.
Devon Brecke has also notched 11.1 points per game and has recorded a team-high 68 assists on the year. Junior
Paige Waytashek is coming off arguably her best weekend of the 2015-16 season, as the guard sunk 11 three-pointers, tallying 43 total points in the two match-ups.
The Wolves will tip-off against Augustana University at 6 p.m. on Friday night and take on the Wayne State Wildcats at 4 p.m. on Saturday, with the men's game to follow.
